The infographic reveals the patterns of David Cameron's relationships with individual Media groups upon a purpose and number of meetings as well as their placement within the timeline. The data set was provided by the University together with the brief, which allowed me to experiment with Motion Graphics and Action Script in Adobe Flash.
The opening page that I created introduces the theme of the infographic and it is where the interaction starts. By selecting the logo with a mouse the logo instantly rolls over highlighting its interactivity. The following page opens up displaying an interactive menu with one mouse click. Roll over image helps to orientate between each bar, so that the viewer can easily sort the data by given categories within the menu simply by navigating between them. One mouse click on an individual category allows us to reveal the hidden arrangements of data that the viewer normally might not notice. This way, the viewer is able to see honest patterns of the data set upon all the possible combinations given in the menu, which stays open to our own personal interpretation.
